At Bethany, our mission is to “make disciples who grow from saved to servant to disciple-maker by loving God, growing together, and serving the world.“
Who We Are
We believe the church is more than a building or gathering once a week. The church is made up of people who are empowered to live out a specific lifestyle, call and mission: loving God, growing together, and serving the world in Jesus’ name – to know Christ, make Him known, and help others do the same. We call this discipleship.
Discipleship is a lifestyle of giving and receiving; it is a process which functions at its best within a community of people who seek to “sharpen” one another in love and service, to please God above all else.
We believe God is calling us to be a church that is multiplying transformational communities across the Quad Cities.
We invite you to join us in learning more about Christ and how we, as a church family, may love and serve Him better together.
STEP 1: LOVING GOD
Discipleship at Bethany starts with entering into a loving relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We seek to help people establish and develop that relationship in our Worship Services.
STEP 2: GROWING TOGETHER
The second step in the discipleship process is to grow together as disciples of Jesus Christ. At Bethany, this is accomplished through Small Groups.
STEP 3: SERVING THE WORLD
The next step in the discipleship process is to make serving God a way of life. We offer many different opportunities to serve at Bethany and encourage everyone to get involved in one or more of our teams.
