Nate Schaefer
Worship Pastor

Nate has quite a bit of experience in ministry–primarily in the music realm.  The son of Scott Schaefer (former praise leader for Heritage Church in Rock Island, IL), he grew up watching his dad lead the body of Christ in praise weekly.  Nate has led praise for “The End” (student ministries) at Heritage Church, and for Harbor Light Christian Center.  He later enrolled in the Quad Cities School of Worship where he devoted ten months to learning about God, ministry, and how to be a better praise leader.  Currently, along with his position at Bethany, he leads praise for the Furnace Midwest, a weekly prayer meeting geared toward crying out to God for the next generation.  He also is a recording engineer at the Quad Cities Prayer Center where he records and produces local Christian bands.  Nate married Kat Poulter in June of 2010, and they are expecting their first child this summer.
