In May of 2016, Bethany celebrated it's 140th anniversary! God has done many incredible things through Bethany over the years, so we decided to celebrate by having a special service every week in the month of May! Here is what our Month consisted of:

Week 1 (May 1st)-Keynote Sunday: We had Gary Rohrmayer, president of Converge Midamerica, as a guest speaker for our Keynote Sunday! Right after service, everybody met in the church's fellowship hall for a Swedish themed luncheon to celebrate our Swedish heritage. It was a great way to start the celebration!

Week 2 (May 8th)-Heritage Sunday: We had a blast from the past as former Bethany pastor Wayne Fritzinger gave a great sermon! In addition, we also enjoyed a children's choir, and we sang some of the great hymns of the faith, which were accompanied by the organ.

Week 3 (May 15th)-Multicultural Sunday: On this Sunday, our worship elements celebrated the several cultures that are represented in Bethany's congregation, which included Burmese and African cultures. This included singing songs and reading Scripture in different languages.

Week 4 (May 22nd)-Growth Campaign Celebration Sunday: We rejoiced in what God had done through our Growth Campaign; which was a three year campaign to raise money for outreach, facility upgrades, church planting, and staff development. God showed through this adventure that He truly does work miracles!

Week 5 (May 29th)-Armed Forces Sunday: We praised God for His protection over America, celebrated with and remembered Bethany members who have served in armed forces, and prayed for those who were currently serving.

It was an incredible month of celebration. God has done many incredible things through this church, and we are incredibly excited for what God has in store for Bethany in the future!
